Inbound Marketing Analysis for Chambers

Inbound marketing is the new way that businesses, and your chamber of commerce, are switching to in order to properly market themselves. If you don't believe that traditional marketing is dead, then here is a formula. Please, use it to calculate your ROI:

X - Y = Z

In this formula, X represents the amount of money that a particular traditional marketing campaign has earned your chamber through membership fees. Y represents the amount of money that your chamber spent on this particular marketing effort. Z is the net result when you subtract your chamber's campaign cost. If Z is not large enough, or worse if it is negative, then there is your proof that traditional marketing efforts are dying.

With inbound marketing, the objective is to attract new membership or sponsorship leads to you, without having to buy advertising. This traditional advertising is "interruption based" and may not be as effective as it used to be due to your community and target audience's decision to invest their time in other mediums. These ads, commercials, and newspaper and magazine spots are all losing traffic. As people may be shifting away from your chamber's efforts to reach them, then Z will continue to shrink.

So how do you attract your target audience without spending tons of money to reach them? You write and produce great content! Produce remarkable content. Produce content that answers their questions! And then publish it on your website and blog! Our hope is that this information prodded your chamber in the right direction, towards inbound marketing. Why spend more money on a marketing channel that may no longer be producing great results?

We can help you evaluate and plan out your chamber's inbound marketing strategy using:

  • Blogs
  • Social Media
  • Website Content
  • and more
